Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, SpaceCam version, the mode you were using, steps to reproduce the problem and any error text. Screenshots are optional: remove private content first. Never send your device passcode, Apple Account password or payment card details.

Where are my photos saved?

Purple SpaceCam mode saves in the app’s private storage. Green Local mode saves to Apple Photos and your selected album. Yellow Mixed mode saves in both. The destination pill shows the current selection. A Photos album organizes the existing Photos asset rather than creating an additional Photos copy.

How do I sync or move to a new iPhone?

On each iPhone, sign in to the same Apple Account, open SpaceCam Settings → iCloud cross-device sync → Sync this iPhone, and complete device authentication. This option is off by default and available on Free and Plus. Keep SpaceCam open and unlocked with network access. Check its sync status and last completed sync; tapping Sync now requests another attempt. It is not an always-running background backup.

Before changing phones, wait for uploads to finish on the old iPhone or export important files. Enable sync separately on the new iPhone and wait for downloads, then verify your media before erasing the old phone. Only successfully uploaded content can be restored this way; unfinished captures, scan drafts and recovery files are not included. Local albums use Apple’s iCloud Photos setting separately. Mixed albums need that service and Photos access to reconnect their Apple Photos items. “Waiting for iCloud Photos” can mean an item is not yet synced or accessible; it does not mean it has been deleted.

If sync pauses, check the network, available iCloud and iPhone storage, the Apple Account and the status message. An account change pauses SpaceCam sync; return to the linked account to continue. Turning sync off keeps existing local and cloud copies. Changes, including deletions, merge when you enable it again. App Store Restore purchases restores eligible Plus access, not your photos. For irreplaceable media, also keep a separate export.

Flags, notes and recordings also sync when SpaceCam sync is enabled. Alternatively, unsynced SpaceCam originals and related user data can be restored as part of an iPhone iCloud or computer backup that includes SpaceCam and completed after updating to a version that supports backup. Being eligible for backup does not mean a backup has completed. Temporary caches and pending shared imports are excluded. Verify restored items before erasing the old phone.

How do Face ID and password unlock work?

Enable the lock in SpaceCam Settings. Tap the unlock button to start Apple’s authentication screen. iOS normally tries Face ID first and provides device passcode fallback when appropriate. The passcode keypad belongs to iOS; SpaceCam has no separate password field and never asks you to create an app password.

Set or change the device passcode in iPhone Settings → Face ID & Passcode. If authentication is cancelled, try again. Check that a device passcode is configured and that Face ID permission for SpaceCam is enabled. Available fallback prompts vary with iOS and authentication state.

What is included in Free and Plus?

Free includes 300 captures per day across all capture modes, unlimited Quick Organize and unlimited Quick Album shortcuts. It includes the default capture folder plus one custom folder, up to three SpaceCam/mixed albums in total and fixed swipe Quick Organize actions. Existing Apple Photos albums do not count towards the album limit. Basic viewing, sharing, exporting, deleting, restoring and supported device authentication remain free.

Plus removes these plan quotas and adds custom swipe actions. Monthly and Lifetime include the same Plus features. Planned US prices: USD 2.99/month or USD 9.99 once. Check the App Store purchase sheet for current local pricing and availability.

How are allowances counted?

Free includes 300 captures per day, shared across photos, videos, BabyCam photos and videos, and scanned pages. Each successfully saved photo, video or scan page counts once. Mixed saves and repeated exports of the same scan page count once; failed or cancelled captures do not count. Captures reserved before midnight count towards the day they started. Quick Organize and Quick Album shortcuts are unlimited on Free and Plus. Free uses fixed swipe actions; Plus allows custom swipe actions. Hiding, pinning and reordering shortcuts remain available on both plans.

The capture allowance resets at midnight in the time zone saved when the local meter was initialized; unused allowance does not roll over. Usage is stored on this device, without cross-device aggregation. The next reset time is shown in Plans and usage. Moving the clock backwards does not reopen a previous day. When upgrading from monthly limits, the daily count starts at zero; old records remain only for recovery and deduplication.

Restore purchases, cancel or request a refund

Open Plans and usage → Restore purchases while signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase. Internet access may be required. Check your Apple purchase history if Plus remains unavailable, then contact support with the product name and error message.

To cancel Monthly, open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SpaceCam. Apple cancellation instructions. Buying Lifetime does not cancel Monthly automatically. Request a refund through Apple.

Missing photos or unavailable thumbnails

Check the selected source, folder, date and media filters. For Apple Photos, check SpaceCam’s Photos permissions and whether the original is available in iCloud. Allow time and network access for Apple to retrieve cloud originals.

The camera’s playback thumbnail starts empty after a fresh app launch and appears after a new capture. This does not delete library media. If an item was deleted, check the appropriate Recently Deleted area. We cannot recover permanently deleted private files.

Privacy requests and legal information

To ask about personal information you sent to support, use the support email above. Local media must be managed on your own device; we cannot access it remotely. Read our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and the Apple standard EULA.

Shared imports

Open SpaceCam once after installation. In a compatible app, select up to 50 photo or video files, choose Share > SpaceCam, authenticate if requested, choose a SpaceCam album or the SpaceCam library, and tap Add. Then open and unlock SpaceCam to finish importing. Supported common formats include JPEG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, MOV and MP4. Web links are not downloaded, and this version does not reconstruct Live Photo pairs. If SpaceCam is missing, check More in the share sheet; the source app must supply actual supported media files. Check Settings > Shared imports to retry, choose another destination or discard pending files. Completed imports and source files are kept when pending files are discarded.

Quick Organize results

SpaceCam saves the date and results of successful Quick Organize actions on your device: reviewed and deleted file counts, known source file sizes, and session-scoped anonymous identifiers to avoid duplicate counting. Results sync through your private iCloud database only when SpaceCam iCloud sync is enabled. They are not sent to LinkSpace Studio. Statistics begin when this feature is first used; older activity is not reconstructed.

“Deleted” includes files successfully moved to Recently Deleted. “Cleaned file size” is the approximate total of known source sizes, not storage already freed on your device. Unavailable sizes are excluded; SpaceCam does not download cloud originals just to calculate these results. Each file counts once per session, including Skip; reviewing it in another session counts as new work. Restoring a file does not erase past results. View saved sessions in Settings → Organizing results. The celebration appears only after all pending changes succeed.
